Very Easy Chicken Cordon Bleu Recipe

I love-love chicken Cordon Bleu, but I don’t particularly enjoy making it. The original version takes a long time to prepare and if you are feeding a large group of people you might as well move into the kitchen for the day. The below recipe is quick and easy, yet tastes delicious! It was designed and prepared by my friend Mila practically on accident, but, as you know, some of the best things happen by accident and this recipe is proof of that.

Serving Size: 4-6 people

(for 8″x 8″ baking dish):

8 chicken cutlets (Recipe here)

20 slices of smoked ham

1½ cups of mayonnaise

2 teaspoons of fresh dill

1 bag of shredded mozzarella


Step 1.

Prepare 8 breaded chicken cutlets.

Step 2.

Put mayo into a mixing bowl

and add diced dill, salt and pepper.



Step 3.

Mix the ingredients together.


Step 4.

Arrange chicken cutlets

in a single layer on the bottom of the

baking dish/pan.



Step 5.

Spread the mayo mixture

over the chicken.



Step 6.

Layout the smoked ham in a single layer

over the mayo mixture.

Step 7.

Cover the ham layer with cheese.

Layer order from bottom up:

1. Chicken cutlets (very bottom)
2. Mayo mixture
3. Ham
4. Cheese
5. Chicken cutlets
6. Mayo mixture
7. Ham
8. Shredded mozarella chese (very top)


Step 8.

Arrange the rest of the chicken

cutlets over the cheese layer and

cover with mayonnaise mixture.


Step 9.

Layer the ham slices over

the mayo and cover with

shredded mozzarella cheese.


Step 10.

Preheat the oven to 350F.

Step 11:

Cook uncovered for 30 minutes.

Step 12.

Remove from oven and let it cool for
5-10 minutes before serving.

Unfortunately, we burned the final product just a little on the outside – ops. Hit with Brick

Despite that minor mishap the chicken tasted amazing! Still Dreaming
