Caesar Salad With Lox And Red Caviar Recipe

Caesar salad is my favorite salad, so when we came across this version at a local Russian restaurant I fell in love. Unfortunately, the restaurant closed so I had to re-create the mystery salad at home. Turns out, it was much easier than originally expected – just a few ingredients and voila! This recipe is versatile as well, so you can play around with it by adding other items like corn and tomatoes, changing the dressing, or serving it as is - in either case the salad is delicious!

Serving size: 6-8 people

Ingredients:

1 bag of  Romaine lettuce
½ cup of Caesar dressing
5-10 slices of cured lox (to taste)
2 tablespoons of red caviar

*croutons optional

 

 

Step 1.

Rinse the lettuce.

Step 2.

Slice the lettuce in large strips.

 

 

Step 3.

Cut the lox into

medium size strips.

 

 

 

Step 4.

Places the sliced lettuce

and lox into a bowl. Mix.

 

 

Step 5.

Add dressing.

Note: Add dressing right
before serving the salad,
or the lettuce will get soggy.

 

 

 

Step 6.

Place the caviar on
top of the salad or
in small portions on the
individual serving plates.
